Lightning Roulette is played with a variant traditional European rule set. The objective is with this online roulette game is to predict the number on which the ball will land by placing one or more bets that cover that number. The roulette wheel includes the numbers 1 - 36 plus a single 0, or zero.
Place all bets and press the SPIN button. Lightning flashes and electrifies anywhere from one to five random lucky numbers on the roulette board. These then have lucky payouts applied to them. The roulette wheel then spins, and the ball rests in one of the numbered pockets. You win if the number is covered in your bet(s). If the winning number is one of the randomly selected lucky numbers covered by a straight-up bet, the multiplied lucky payout is paid to you. This feature alone sets it apart from other online casino games.
Bet Types
Multiple betting options based on the European rule set are available in Lightning Roulette. Racetrack bets are also available alongside standard betting options like red or black or picking a single number.
Inside Bets
Inside Bets are bets placed on the numbered spaces in the betting area.
- Straight Up = chip is placed directly on a single number, including 0.
- Split Bet = chip goes on the horizontal or vertical line between two numbers.
- Street Bet = chip goes on the end of any row of three numbers. Corner Bet = chip goes on the central intersection of four numbers.
- Line Bet = chip goes on the end of two rows at the intersection between two rows. The line bet covers all the numbers in both rows (so a total of six).
Outside Bets
Outside Bets are placed in the special area below and to the side of the main betting area.
- Column Bet = chip goes in one of the 2:1 boxes at the end of the column that covers all twelve numbers in that column.
- Dozen Bet = chip is placed in one of the three boxes marked 1st 12, 2nd 12 or 3rd 12 to cover the 12 numbers alongside the board.
- Red/Black = chip is placed in the Red or Black box to cover the 18 red or black numbers. The bet doesn't cover the 0.
- Even/Odd = chip is placed in one of the two boxes to cover the 18 red or black numbers. The bet doesn't cover the 0.
- 1-18/19-36 = chip is placed in either of the two boxes to cover the first or second set of 18 numbers. The bet doesn't cover the 0.
Neighbour Bets
Clicking the Neighbour Bets option reveals a special oval or racetrack-shaped betting area that allows players to place neighbour and other special bets. Neighbour Bets cover specific numbers and numbers that lie close to it on the roulette wheel. Placing a Neighbour Bet is as simple as clicking/tapping a number on the racetrack. A chip goes on the selected number alongside those numbers close to the left and right.
Keeping Track
The enhanced statistics option provided by Lightning Roulette is a handy tool. This can be viewed by clicking the game's toolbar and selecting the statistics button to gain useful information from the last 500 games played, including the top 5 numbers, alongside the 5 coldest numbers during that time frame.
