The lower paying symbols - comprising gems of every shape and size, are colourful, elaborately detailed, and of course, fit the retro theme to a tee. Reactions

Thanks to the Megaclusters engine, any symbol in a winning cluster is replaced by 4 smaller symbols. Should these smaller symbols form part of a cluster win, any symbols of the same size collapse downwards, and new symbols drop in from the top of the screen to fill any available positions on the grid. Reactions, as these are called, continue until there are no more wins. In theory, this means that should all regular-sized symbols in the 4x4 grid be replaced by the 4 smaller-sized symbols at the same time, you could have a total of 64 symbols on screen!

Free Spins Feature

The Free Spins feature is triggered by landing 5 consecutive reactions on the reels, and 5 reactions = 5 free spins. Any reactions over and above the initial 5 will grant an extra free spin, 1 per extra reaction. As an additional bonus, any Gold Wild multiplier from the base game gets pulled over into the free spins round. An additional 2 free spins are awarded every time the Gold Wild multiplier reaches a multiple of 10.

The Free Spins feature itself takes place on an expanded 8x8 grid, and the Megaclusters engine is active here too, so any symbols in a winning cluster are broken down into 4 smaller symbols. Should all 64 regular-sized symbols on the reels be replaced by 4 smaller-sized symbols, you’d be looking at a whopping 256 symbols in play on the grid!
